Using predominately Australian hardwoods and a wide range of quality finishes, our Handmade Tables can adapt to any look you like, complete with drawers and shelves for extra storage. We pride ourselves in crafting Premium Furniture and are confident in achieving a Hall Table to seamlessly suit your home and lifestyle needs.

What Height Should a Hall Table be?
When choosing a Hall Table for your space, you’ll need to consider other surroundings. Are there going to be other furniture pieces or artwork to accompany your table? Or is it being placed in a small nook? Quite simply, your Timber Hall Table can be made to any size you desire. Typically, a Hall Table is used as a practical furniture item and often keeps your house/car keys, your mail and usually a lamp. A comfortable height we typically suggest is between 760H – 800H, as this tends to be an accessible level for most people. If you go too low, you could make the rest of your space look a little unbalanced, and if you go too high it may not feel as practical for daily use. Speak with our friendly staff to decide a Hall Table height to best suit your needs.

With this, the width and depth of your Hall Table can also be personalised. Whether you required a Small Hall Table or a Long Hall Table, we can accomodate to suit your requests. Offering custom dimensions and design styles to ensure your Hall Table fits comfortably in its new home.

What Type of Wood is Used for Timber Hall Tables?
At Nordic Design, we use the highest quality timbers to craft all of our Timber Hall Tables. Some of the timbers we offer include Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Mountain Ash, Western Australian Jarrah, Tasmanian Silver Wattle or American Oak. Alternatively, if you have existing furniture pieces you’d like to match, our specialist polishers can closely match colour tones. So in other words, the colour options are endless…

By using natural hardwood timbers not only ensures your Hall Table will look stunning, but it will also stand the test of time. And while typically a Hall Table is a smaller, slimmer item, the hardwood timber will offer a sturdy structure and add depth to your piece.

Can I Customise the Shelf Height in my Hall Table?
As we individually hand craft all of our Hall Tables to customer requirements, you can include as many or as few shelves as you desire. They can sit lower down for larger baskets or display vases, or higher up for little items that need a visible home. We let you determine your preferred shelf height and will incorporate it into your chosen Hall Table design.

How to Maintain your Custom Made Hall Table?
When it comes to maintaining your Custom Hall Table, it really doesn’t require much effort. As they are made with quality materials and mechanisms, your table will enjoy being used frequently – and not tire. We also coat each of our pieces in your chosen finish – matte, satin or gloss which offers another element of protection to your Hall Table.

Although a Hallway Table is mostly thought of as practical, you can create a special entry or hallway feature with a Nordic Design Console Table. Talk to us about incorporating ornate features or special detailing for a unique design. And of course, made to whatever size best suits your space.

Entry Hall Tables can be very useful. Leave lit lamps on to come home to at night, or flowers to welcome guests, or simply create a mood with decorative items. Maximising your space, large or small, with a custom hall table is useful as a statement piece or simply for storage. The idea of a matching mirror completes the look and is useful for last minute ‘touch ups’ before leaving home.

A Hallway Table can hold framed photos or travel memoirs to serving as a ‘good memory’ each time you walk past. Practically thinking, it’s a good place for storage of smaller items too. Incorporate minimal shelving or slim drawers into your Handmade Table to keep smaller items hidden but easily accessible. Or to serve as a decorative piece in your Living Room, why not place it beneath a statement painting?

As we locally hand craft all of our Console Tables here in Adelaide, let us personalise the design based on your requirements. We can build to suit exisiting furniture pieces like your Dining Table or Coffee Table for a coherent feel. We can also use the same timber (or colour match) with other existing items in your home.

How to Include Storage Options
Hall Tables are undervalued (in our opinion). While often desired as a Small Hall Table, it still serves plenty of purpose when made to your specific requirements. Let us add specific storage compartments and internal features for completely custom storage to keep smaller and treasured items neatly stored away. A Timber Console Table with Drawers is a handy way to utilise space.

For narrow hallways, perhaps opt for a slimline design that won’t protrude too far into your walkway. Our Hall Tables can be crafted to perfectly fit any space. Hall Tables can even serve as a central feature when paired with a mirror (which can be made by us as well), reflecting light and bringing an often overlooked space to life. The options are endless.

Usually found in your Living Room, Sofa Tables are appropriate to place behind a couch or modular lounge in an open plan room. Practical for holding items, a reading lamp, wine glasses or a coffee mug, these Console Tables add another element of beauty (and functionality) to your room. Why not add some extra drawers or shelving for added storage too? Especially in a high traffic area such as your Living Room, you can never have too much storage.
